Dia/Day 1

Acordamos e fomos tomar o pequeno almoço no hotel. Saímos e apanhamos o comboio para visitar o centro histórico de Madrid, que inclui Plaza Mayor, Catedral de Almudena e o Palácio Real. Decidimos comer à beira da Ópera que ficava à beira do Palácio Real antes de irmos apanhar o metro para o nosso próximo destino: Museu do Prado. Depois do museu, fomos ao Parque del Retiro e ficamos lá por algum tempo. Voltamos para o hotel para nos preparar mos para o jantar, fomos comer ao Arturo's. Aproveitamos e canta mos os parabéns à professora Sónia, que nos acompanhou, pelos seus 50 anos. No geral, foi um dia bem divertido!

We woke up and had breakfast at the hotel. We went out and caught the train to visit the historic center of Madrid, that includes the Plaza Mayor, Almudena Cathedral and Royal Palace . We decided to eat next to the Opera House, which was next to the Royal Palace, before catching the metro to our next destination: the Prado Museum. After the museum, we went to Retiro Park and stayed there for a while. We went back to the hotel to get ready for dinner, and we went to Arturo's. We took the opportunity to sing happy birthday to Professor Sónia, who accompanied us, for her 50th birthday. Overall, it was a really fun day!
